Today as I was icing a birthday cake and putting finishing touches on a balloon garland for the sweetest little boy, I had this realization. Yes, I love photography. But I want to do so much more than just capture your child’s image on a piece of paper. I want to get to know them. I want to HELP you. It’s my job to make your life easier… I’ll bring the cake and balloons for your cake smash. A couple of years ago, KKP started building a client wardrobe. I want your session to be all about time and interaction with your family, and not stressful over what you need to bring and what you’ll wear. That part is my job. #letmehelpyou

Bittersweet | Mississippi Newborn, Child & Family Photographer

I know it’s been a while. The Fall of 2019 was full of changes. KKP got a facelift. I worked with Anna Beyerle of Anchored Creative Studio. She is awesome! We worked together to create all new branding, a new logo, website and marketing materials for Kim Kelley Photography. Ahhhh… so excited!

But most importantly, let’s get to the pictures! I never fully understood the meaning of bittersweet until my children seemed to grow up right before my eyes. Actually it was more like in a flash… before I even had time to realize it was happening.

Bittersweet: being at once bitter and sweet

Watching my client babies grow is also very bittersweet. But I smile knowing that my clients have prints and albums that will last generations. They were made for passing down. I’ve said it before, I get a little sad after the 1st birthday session knowing that the baby plan is finished. But it’s also exciting to go back through all of our images and design the 1st year album. Your little ones will LOVE to watch themselves grow as they flip through page after page. You will CHERISH your album with every passing year. And one day, you’ll look back and wonder where all the years have gone. <3
