Picture Of The Day

I've decided I should pick up my camera more often... not just for work.  I don't know when I got so busy that I stopped *playing*.  And for the first "picture of the day" blog, I thought I'd let you in on what's been going on with me... 

ME, not Kim Kelley: the photographer but Kim Kelley, the girl.   {And yes, I'm 30 but I still think of myself as a *girl*... wonder when that'll change?!}  :)  ha!

My brother borrowed my car on Tuesday, March 26th to take a trip down south.  He called around 5p.m. and was a little out of breath and said, "I think you're going to be getting a new car."  It scared me to death and the next words out of his mouth didn't help much either.  "An 18 wheeler just hit me."

Then he hung up.  I was a little freaked out.  I had jumped to the worse possible conclusions and was imagining a head-on collision.  Then Shane and Momma tried to calm me down and we decided that he was {hopefully} sitting at a red light and a truck hit him while he was sitting still.  Nope.

They were going down the road and an 18 wheeler was merging into his lane... didn't see that Scott was already occupying that lane!   This is the result:

It's totalled.  But that's ok... it's a car.  Metal & leather.  It can be replaced and my brother can't!  :)

I've been dealing with the police department and insurance issues and it's not been pretty.  But I promise, my next "picture of the day" post will be a little more upbeat.  Just wanted to keep my clients and readers up to date on what's going on with me...
