Life As I Know It
Well, it's busy-busy! I can't remember the last time I updated you on what's been going on with us. We finally got the car issue settled. (It was totalled on March 25th) But what was crazy is that we got a check for loss of use (rather than pay for a rental for us). The number of days was calculated from the time the accident happened until the insurance agent called me with a payoff amount. He called me with the figure 21 days after the accident happened. But it was an additional 30+ days before we received a check... crazy. Doesn't make sense to me. But at least it's over.
Savannah and Alex finished up this school year last week. We had parties, programs and awards day! It was crazy busy too... Savannah got AB honor roll for the year. I'm so proud. Though I can't take much credit. She does lots of studying on her own. {blushing} And Alex had a great year in Kindergarten. Ms. Pittman was his teacher and she was great! In fact, they were both blessed with fabulous teachers this year. I can only hope that next year goes as well! Then we have Sadie... gosh, she keeps me busy. After all, it's been 6 years since I had a baby around. And let me tell you... this baby is high maintenance!
I don't know if you remember, but she had colic when she was born. It was wild. And that was putting it mildly. If you know someone with a baby with colic, please help them. It's hard. Really hard. I feel guilty for asking anyone to babysit her. Maybe I shouldn't, but did I mention that she IS high maintenance? :)
But I can't let you think she's all bad. She's our baby doll! She started smiling and "talking" to us and we're all putty in her hands. She rolled over from tummy to back on May 24th {see image above!}. She is seeing the chiropractor 3 times a week. And at first, I thought... "Ok, she's 3 months old. It's just time for her to grow out of this colic stuff!" BUT we had to miss an appointment because Savannah was sick {strep again and that's a whole other story!}... She went six days without treatment and we could completely see a difference in her! She didn't sleep as well and she just seemed more uncomfortable! Once we got back on schedule, she appeared to be much happier! We're still going 3 times per week (to Dr. Leach in Starkville... love him!) He, Amber and Cathy just love baby Sadie!
And work... I'm proofing every chance I get. Though I will say it's crazy with school out now and making 3 trips per week {gas... ouch!} to Starkville! If you're waiting on proofs, I want you to know I'm working on them... keep an eye on my blog for a preview! I'm posting as I'm proofing. :)
Have a great day!
