Thank you, God for the flowers. We SO enjoy their beauty. Shane, the kids and I were headed to a birthday party Saturday afternoon and we were driving about 20mph on the gravel road (Shane had just washed the truck!). It gave us a chance to really *see* things... to see God's creation! And right there in the woods were the most georgeous yellow flowers (probably weeds) but still beautiful!!! If we hadn't taken the time to slow down, we'd have missed them. Thank you, God for reminding me that sometimes I need to slow down.Thank you, God for the wind! And its prefect timing...
Thank you, God for the trials in my life. Because of those rough times and the tears and sadness, I'm nearer to You!What would you like to thank Him for today?
Thanks to my friend, Melissa Bell, for introducting me to KLove's Encouraging Word. I just HAD to share today...
Encouraging Word
Sunday 9/12/2010I took my troubles to the Lord; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.~ Psalm 120:1, NLTI would say that it's so funny that I get this particular scripture, but nothing happens by coincidence. I'm positive that it's all God's plan for me. Just about four years ago, my life was a mess and that's probably putting it mildly. I was so confused. And one night, I cried out to him. I will never forget where I was or how I felt. He answered me. Just like He promises that he will. Maybe not instantly, but in His own time. Several weeks later, I met Shane. Again, not by coincidence. God was trying to show me balance in this crazy world. And Shane was a huge part of that revelation for me. He once said that for everything good there is something bad... people die but babies are born. I held onto that when my Daddy died. It really was a comfort to me to know that on April 22, 2009... so far the worst day of my life... someone else was rejoicing. Someone witnessed the miracle of life. Someone celebrated a birthday that they didn't expect to celebrate. Someone received good news. Balance. That brought me great comfort.God heard my cries. He hears yours too.Trust in Him.I wanted to share this one of Shane and Sadie... enjoying the light show at Laketown Wharf in Panama City Beach, FL.
Out with the khaki & white, IN with color and texture and print!!! {all the things that i ♥} I was chatting online with Melissa Bell last night... she was working on her family's clothing for a photo session this fall. It gave me the kick in the pants to get started on my own family's wardrobe!! (LOVE picking this stuff out, btw!) We're so excited about Renee Reedy doing our family session... it's the first time we've had a real session! woohooo!!!I had already fallen in love with Sadie's outfit at The Sweet Pea so it came home with us after a trip to Greenwood, MS! :) I started with her outfit and wanted to incorporate the pink and red with the rest of the family. Gray and denim just came natural because Shane and I are fans. Let your clothing be about YOU! different is ok. different is good!
