Specialty ♥ Ackerman, MS Newborn Photographer

Specialty:: something that a person or place is known for making or producing very well: an area of study or business that a person specializes in or has special knowledge ofI've thought a lot about this word, specialty lately. I once listed on my website that I specialize in newborn, family, senior, wedding (etc...) photography. Then I read where a photographer stated that you can't SPECIALIZE in everything. By definition, specialize means special. ALL of that can't be special. ;) I've considered only shooting children (newborn - 1 year) and weddings. But then I started to think... I could NEVER do that. It would mean that after one year, I wouldn't see the newborns that I first photographed last week or the 6 month old I played peek-a-boo with last month. It would mean capturing the most special day of a couple's life, meeting their baby and never watching them grow beyond the baby stage. I think I'd rather just specialize in people. I love my job and I love people... watching children grow is one of the BEST parts! I think I'll just continue to try to capture your life as art. Because it is... art.John Landry is almost 3! I still imagine him as the baby sitting in the red bucket with the sock monkey hat on. ♥ Not only has he grown {so much!} but he's welcomed twins into his family. I can't even express how blessed I feel to watch this family grow.... and to be a part of it!
