When to Book Your Newborn Session

The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester.

Because newborn sessions are scheduled around your baby’s arrival, I accept a limited number of due dates each month to ensure every family receives the attention and care they deserve.

Many Madison families choose to document more than just the newborn stage. One of the most meaningful things to look back on is how quickly your baby changes during that first year.

Because of that, many families choose to photograph several milestones along the way — often beginning with maternity, followed by newborn, six months, and first birthday portraits.

Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28–34 weeks, while newborn sessions take place within the first two to three weeks after birth. Later in the year, six-month sessions capture those joyful gummy smiles and growing personalities, and first birthday portraits celebrate the incredible milestone of your baby’s first year.
